Young Medical Researchers urged to gain Fundraising Skills

Speaking at the Australian Medical Research Congress, Dr Daniel McDiarmid urged young medical researchers to appreciate philanthropic support for their work and to gain experience in fundraising.   He indicated that selection panels were increasingly looking for Institute Directors with great scientific standing as well as an appreciation of the importance of donor relations and knowing how to work effectively with Development staff.   Click here to access a copy of Dr McDiarmid's presentation.
