The Bursar and the Fundraiser should be friends
|
While countless school productions of Oklahoma! have insisted that the Farmer and the Cowman should be friends, a Global Philanthropic consultant has urged greater co-operation between school bursars and fundraisers.
Speaking at the Association of School Bursars and Administrators (VIC) conference, Dr Daniel McDiarmid pointed out that while school principals rely on financial advice from bursars, many bursars do not appreciate the potential of school fundraising.
He said the return on investment from fundraising was much higher than alternative investments, but not normally thought of in these terms.
