Bronwyn Street, Global Philanthropic consultant based in Melbourne joined the band of willing telefundraisers for the “Australia United Bushfire Appeal Telethon”. Australian stars including Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Hugh Jackman, Rachel Griffiths, Naomi Watts, Anthony LaPaglia and Simon Baker, who could not make it back to Australia from the US in time for the telethon, recorded messages of support that were played throughout the night. The telethon raised more than $20million, pushing the total for the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal to more than $74million.
