Our warmest congratulations to the Educate Plus Excellence Award winners for 2024, recognised at the recent Empowering Success International Conference Awards Lunch.
The Educate Plus Excellence Awards highlight and reward exceptional talent and achievements within the educational Advancement industry. They enhance the visibility and credibility of both individuals and the institutions they represent, raising their professional profile and elevating their credential in a competitive market.
The outstanding recipients were judged from a record 220+ applications across 17 categories, showcasing best practice in Admissions, Alumni Relations/Community Engagement, Fundraising, and Marketing, as well as recognising the categories of Supplier, Team, Newcomer, and Mentor.
The Volunteer and Institutional Leadership awards were made to Ben Foley, on behalf of St Peter’s Lutheran College (QLD), and Principal Paulina Skerman, Santa Sabina College (NSW), respectively.
The Trevor Wigney Award—the most prestigious recognition of an Educate Plus member for outstanding service in educational advancement in Australasia—was awarded to Vicki Fowler, former Executive Director of Tāwai Takapiri Connect Futures (NZ).
Seventeen Educate Plus members were also inducted as new Fellows during the Awards ceremony, in recognition of their service and contribution.
We were delighted and proud to sponsor these prestigious awards, recognising the hard work of teams and individuals making a significant impact across the educational landscape in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
Awards finalist projects were showcased in a poster display for the duration of the Conference and we look forward to further sharing the best practice highlights from these in Excellence Series webinars and podcasts over the next 18 months. (See Excellence Series 2023).
Thank you to Educate Plus CEO Mandy McFarland and Educate Plus Board Chair Myfanwy Stanfield for the opportunity to partner on this important program celebrating leadership and excellence in the education sector.
